The new drop is here: Peach Oolong, available now as mochi ice cream and soft serve.
Oolong sits between green and black tea - partially oxidized, usually roasted, which gives it a warmth neither of its neighbors has. The roast is what makes this flavor work. Peach on its own goes flat and sugary fast. The roasted tea underneath holds it down, so the fruit stays bright without the whole thing turning into candy.
The mochi version is $7.50, wrapped by hand the day you eat it, and it comes with a peach condensed milk pipette. The soft serve is $6.50. Like every drop, it is here for a limited run: matcha, black sesame, and mango never leave the case, and the other three seats turn over with a new flavor about once a month.
A word about its predecessor. Lychee was the spring drop and was supposed to rotate out. It kept selling out, so it is still on the menu. Only matcha, black sesame, and mango have permanent seats; everything else earns its month. The archive on our seasonal page keeps the record.
